Send Flowers to Łódź, Poland

Łódź is Poland's former textile capital, in the centre of the country, reinvented around Piotrkowska Street and the Manufaktura complex. People who left Łódź for Britain, Ireland, Germany or the Netherlands send flowers to parents in Bałuty, siblings in Widzew, friends in Polesie and Górna, and to the old tenement streets around the centre.

Mother's Day is 26 May throughout Poland, and Grandmother's Day (Dzień Babci) on 21 January, followed by Grandfather's Day on 22 January, is a favourite moment for a small bouquet. Name days remain important, Women's Day on 8 March means tulips, and on 1 November, All Saints' Day, families tend graves with chrysanthemums and candles. Funeral wreaths can be delivered to funeral homes and cemeteries, including the historic Old Cemetery on Ogrodowa Street. For get-well wishes, the Barlicki University Hospital and the Polish Mother's Memorial Hospital are common destinations.

Łódź is one hour ahead of London and six ahead of New York; order before midnight Polish time and delivery is the next day. Please give us the recipient's phone number so the florist can call before arriving and, if nobody is home, arrange another time. Roses, lilies and seasonal mixed bouquets are always on hand, and potted plants are a good choice for apartments.
